The Thing About Charlie Kirk…
Not silent, he calmly and persistently drove a revolution. To every discussion, he entered armed with facts and reason, and perhaps most importantly, he entered with God. He did not come into focus as a pacifist. He came in a warrior. He came in with intention, with work to do. He did not care that some institutions did not agree. Instead, he sought them out. He rose to fame, not for his own glory, but for the glory of God. His death was not in vain. His death was the beginning. He did what he set out to do. Charlie Kirk sought to unite people, to remind the young people of the world that we need not be divided. His calm, non-combative words continue to steer the current of a movement, reconnecting souls in search of meaning, with family, church, love, and morality.
Great men and women have suffered their convictions. They are not only the spark igniting change in a broken world. They fan the fire. They are rare and profound: Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., Socrates, Joan of Arc, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi, Susan B. Anthony, Malala Yousafzai, the Dali Lama, Cesar Chavez, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Mother Theresa, Marcus Aurelius, and of course, Jesus Christ. Many carry the torch. The magnitude of their influence is staggering and ever-lasting.
Charlie Kirk takes his post in the elite circle of greatness, and for this generation and those to follow, he represents a return to common sense, morality, dignity, and belief in something higher. This is not lost on a culture immersed in technology. It is the light, a beacon of hope and faith, and truth not forgotten.
